Hehe! This picture stemmed from and idea I had for an alternate universe where Ryuukotsusei won his battle with InuTaisho.

Eventually Ryuukotsusei grows irritated at the constant wars going on in Japan in the Feudal Era of Japan and decides to over the country and unite it.

However every conquerer needs help, and just by chance when Ryuukotsusei traveled alone and in secret to pay respects to the grave of InuTaisho (a ritual he did every year without fail), he met up with seven very unique humans who called themselves the Shichinintai.

Unfortunately for them they confused him with a youkai they had been comissioned to kill. At the end of a two hour battle that left a third of the surrounding forest in ruin, the seven man army was bloodied a beaten into the ground, although they were still alive and their bodies left in one piece.

The dragon was very pleased, as he had not had an enemy put up such a fight in a long, long time. Because of this he approached their severly wounded, but still concious and ever defiant leader Bankotsu.

"What is it you really want out of this life?" A toothy grin spread across the dragon's face as he grasped the young leader of men by the throat.

"What's it to you, lizard?" Bankotsu spat defiantly.

"Dragon." Ryuukotsusei growled warningly and tightened his grip around the young human's throat. If there was one thing he hated most, it was being called a lizard. "Now are you going to listen to my proposition, or shall I burn the rest of your men alive while you watch?"

Apparently that touched a nerve as tiny glint of fear appeared on the boy's face. He closed his mouth and nodded. The fanged smile reappeared on the dragon's face.

"Now, answer my question. What do you want out of this life? YEs, yes I know the usual wish, blood, fame, fortune. That goes without saying for people like us." the dragon waved a hand casually, but then his expression turned serious. "What is it you really want?"

Bankotsu swallowed hard as the dragon's grip looseded so he could speaking. "You youkai are just born with incredible power, and I want some of it! I heard that if I killed a thousand men with my halberd, Banryuu it would be infused with the power of a thousand men."

"Ah, I see." the dragon's smile was no longer so sneering. "Well, did you know if you slew a thousand youkai with your Banryuu you would gain youkai power."

Bankotsu's eyes widened at that and Ryuukotsusei continued.

"Spill blood for me exclusively and I will provide those thousand humans and youkai...Oh! And of course the fame and fortune and all of that other stuff too..."
